Description
Entry for #Creature-Lovers weekly mini contest.
So this thing is based off of several different creatures.
- Eel (tail)
- Horse (teeth)
- Whale (skin texture)
- Hippo (body)
- T-rex (head and feet)
Report:
In the jungles of India lives the vast population of Indian Elephants. These gentle giants have lived in the brush for hundreds of years without fear of being hunted. Scientists have said that humans were the main cause for their decrease in population, until a local witnessed an astonishing attack.
"I was going to the river to fetch water" said the girl, "The elephants were cooling off on the other side of the water when suddenly a large creature leaped at least 10 feet out of the water and dragged one of the females down below the surface."
The girl described the creature as a giant crocodile with a fin. Later researchers found the corpse of what they think was the creature washed up on the shore. It measured 24 feet in length, 9 feet in height at the torso (including fin), and 12 feet in width at the torso. It's head had two sets of pearly eyes that resembled rocks and massive jaws with teeth that act like the edge of a pair of scissors. It had thick rubbery skin with a pattern of brown and green, probably used for camoflage at the bottom of the river. The creature also had two front feet with three digets and long sharp claws. Researchers believe that the creature is semi-prehistoric and has only appeared now because of the lack of fish in the rivers. Scientists have started a research project to find out more about the creature, but they refuse to give out any further information on the beast that they found out by disecting the corpse. The Indian government along with Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Indonesia have warned that the creature lives in wide, slow moving rivers, and that all citizens should be cautious when around the water's edge.
